Heroes of the BCMCL

February 2004
BCMCL mourns the passing of one of its legends: J.M.Peter Molyneux.

A word about Peter.

"I have spent the best part of 40 years as a good friend and admirer of Peter Molyneux.  He persuaded me in 1964 to become involved in BCCA administration.  I also served under him as a BC representative captain and player on a number of occasions when he was team manager.

His un-ending work with Junior Cricket will be remembered forever by those who passed through his system.  At the CCA level he was a tireless worked for BC cricket and both Junior and Senior levels.  He managed several overseas Canadian Colts'  Tours and was certainly in some way responsible for my appearances for the Canadian Senior Team.

A true 'ICON' of the game, he was also and friendly neighbour and often walked his dog around to my house for a cricket update.  Cantankerous at times, but you always knew where you stood with Peter.

We all shall miss him immensely. "
