Disciplinary Actions for 2010
2010 Disciplinary Actions

  • Gurvinder Randhawa (4305) of Arbutus CC was reprimnaded for showing dissent towards an umpire in T20 final.
     
  • Umar Dar (5566) of Arbutus CC was suspended for one game for showing dissent towards an umpire in Match 9.   
     
  • PakCan CC played an unregistered player in Match 11 and, therefore, the captain Barber Javed (3168) is suspended for May 22-23, 2010 according to rule 11 of the governing rules.
     
  • PakCan CC played an unregistered player in Match 22 and, therefore, the captain Zafar Khan (339) is suspended for May 15-16, 2010 according to rule 11 of the governing rules.
     
  • Seattle CC played an unregistered player in Match 22 and, therefore, the captain Qadri Wasif (697) is suspended for May 15-16, 2010 according to rule 11 of the governing rules.
     
  • Windies CC played an unregistered player in Match 53 and, therefore, the captain Atwell, Ebenezer (283) is suspended for May 15-16, 2010 according to rule 11 of the governing rules.
     
  • Manjit (Gogi) Dhillon (975) of North Shore CC was reprimnaded for showing dissent towards an umpire in Match 83.
     
  • Seattle CC played an unregistered player in Match 117 and, therefore, the Tehmosp Khan (64) captain is suspended for May 29-30, 2010 according to rule 11 of the governing rules.
     
  • Aslam Khan (54) of Seattle CC was suspended for one game for showing dissent towards an umpire in Match 22.    
     
  • Effective May 22, 2010, Gurdeep Kheira (5481) and Parminder Malhi (5842) of Abbotsford CC received life ban from the BCMCL for violation of rule 4 of the code conduct in Math 90. Following week 4 of the 2013 season (3 years), both players may apply to the league to have their playing privileges reinstated. The league will review their status at that time.  
     
  • Effecting May 15, 2010, Amarjot Brar (5010) of Abbotsford CC is suspended for 4 weeks for violation of rule 1 of the code of conduct in Match 90.  
     
  • Following players are suspended for one game for May 15-16 for their game 90 misconduct.

  • Following a protest, match 64 has been of awarded to Salim Akbar II.
     
  • Imran Hussain (5820) of Centurions CC was reprimnaded for showing dissent towards an umpire in Match 153.
     
  • James Crosthwaite (6395) of Centurions CC was suspended for one game for showing disent towards umpire in match 153. The suspension was imposed by Centurions CC and approved by the BCMCL P&D Committee.   
     
  • The protest by Surrey Warriors I for rained out game 202 against Cosmos III has been denied.    
     
  • Asif Haider (6204) from Meraloma has been warned for breaching the Rule # 28 in the Match 169.
     
  • The Protest by Arbutus I against West Van I for Game 248 got denied followed by Umpires Report.
     
  • Following a protest, Match 247 has been awarded to Salim Akbar II against Windies II.
     
  • Andrew Downs (3857) of Meraloma was suspended for two games for showing disent towards Umpires in Match 265.
     
  • Dimoseelan Dominic (4539) of West Coast Tamils was suspended for one game for showing disent towards Umpires in Match 275.
     
  • The protest by Surrey Stars II for Unfair use of player for the game 275 got denined and awarded to Abbortsford III.
     
  • The protest by Richmond IV for the game 322 got denied and awarded to Coquitlam Windies I.
     
  • The protest by Richmond III for the game 259 got denined and awarded to SurreyHawks I.
     
  • Subtain Ali (5022) from Brocton Point CC was reprimanded for showing disent towards an Umpire in the Match 284.
     
  • The protest by Bengal Tigers II for the game 372 got denined and awarded to Salim Akbar II.
     
  • The protest by West Vancouver I for the game 325 got denied and awarded to Abbotsford I after receiving the Umpiring Report and according to the rule regarding slow play in the 2nd innings.
     
  • An appeal from Meraloma for Andrew Downs (3875), for the 2 game suspension (Game # 265) was uphold and P&D decision remains same.
     
  • Cosmos I captain Kashif Sheik is suspended for one (1) game for showing dissent towards an umpire for game # 324 against Salim Akbar I.
     
  • Harjit Sandhu from Cosmos has been issued a warning for showing dissent towards an umpire for game # 324 against Salim Akbar.
     
  • Following a protest, Match 331 awarded to Cosmos II played against United II [Contravened Rule #28].
     
  • Dimoseelan Dominic (4539) of West Coast Tamils was suspended for Two games for showing disent towards Scorer in Match 345.
     
  • Scott Anderson from Eastern I has been warned as disciplinary action against the game West Coast Tamils IV, Game # 350.
     
  • One Game Suspension by Meraloma was Upheld for Jonathan Snow for the game # 4201 against Pakcan.
     
  • Following a protest, Match 422 awarded to Arbutus III played against Windies II [Contravened Rule # 28].
     
  • Following a protest, Match 456 awarded to Eastern I played against Meraloma III [Contravened Rule # 28].
     
  • Following a protest, Match 331 awarded to Cosmos II played against United II [Contravened Rule #28].
     
  • The protest by Abbotsford V for the game 475 got denied and awarded to Windies II.
     
  • Following a protest, Match 448 awarded to Richmond V played against Bengal Tigers II [Contravened Rule # 28].
     
  • Usman Tahir [3604] of PakCan is suspended from all BCMCL games and BCMCL sponsored events for the balance of the 2010 season and first 7 regular season matches of the 2011 season for attacking a player and for starting the fight during the game # 587. This decision is after the appeal from PakCan.
     
  • Atul Nagpal [3887] of Abbotsford is suspended from all BCMCL games and BCMCL sponsored events for the balance of the 2010 season. The P&D committee felt that Atul?s remarks at the end of the game # 587 were inflammatory and uncalled for.
     
  • Rashminder Josan [4237] of PakCan is suspended from all BCMCL games and BCMCL sponsored events for the balance of the 2010 season for his conduct in the game # 587.
     
  • Rashid Masood [2440] of PakCan is suspended from all BCMCL games and BCMCL sponsored events for the balance of the 2010 season for his conduct in the game # 587.
     
  • Gagan Dhillon [4517] of Abbotsford is suspended from all BCMCL games and BCMCL sponsored events for the balance of the 2010 season and for the first league game in the 2011 season for his conduct in the game # 587.
     
  • Pakcan Captain Baber Javed Sandhu [3168] is suspended for one game for his conduct in the game # 587.
     
  • Abbotsford Captain Varinder Grewal [4196] is suspended for one game for his conduct in the game # 587.
     
  • The protest by SurreyHawks I for unfair use of players for the game 529 got denied and awarded to Richmond III.
     
  • After P&D review, match #411 was determined as tie, hence both Richmond V and SurreyHawks II will get 2 points each.
     
  • Parminder Gillar [4067] of Richmond, was given an official warning for showing dissent during the game #411.
     

Points deduction for non-payment of league dues

[As of 15th August 2010]

LANKAN KINGS:
-There is no proof that Lankan Kings tried to deliver to the BCMCL Treasurer on July 23 as they claim.
- Therefore, the decision to deduct points for late payment of due stands.
ACC:
-There is no proof that ACC deliver the payment to the BCMCL Treasurer before August 1st.
- Therefore, the decision to deduct points for late payment of due stands.


[As of 25th July 2010]

ACC:
  • Lost on July 3 - no point deduction
  • Won on July 18 - deduct 4 points
  • Won on July 25 - deduct 4 points

8 points deducted for ACC. 

LANKAN KINGS:
  • Lost on July 10 - no point deduction
  • Lost on July 17 - no point deduction
  • Won on July 25 - 4 points to be deducted

4 points deducted for Lankan Kings. 

Note: If no payment is received then points should be continued to be deducted for game won on a weekly basis until payment is received by the BCMCL Treasurer.

 Points deduction for falling below 75% in club umpiring

[as of 15th Aug 2010]

COQUITLAM WINDIES:
- Coquitlam Windies did request additional umpiring assignments to bring their percentage above 75% before the points were deducted.
- Request was granted and Coquitlam Windies have a total of 25 umpiring assignments (for 2 team club ? should be about 22 assignments).
- Coquitlam missed only 2 assignments on May 15 and they sent email to the BCMCL the same day informing the league that the umpires got lost and could not find Trafalgar Park.
- Since May 15th, the club has completed ALL assignments.
- It was decided that the league should be lenient in this case and re-instate the 4 points to the Coquitlam Windies.


BROCKTON POINT CC:
- BPCC have not requested additional umpiring assignments to bring their percentage above 75%
- BPCC mentioned there was a time lag between umpiring assignments. If BPCC was concerned about the amount of time between assignments they should have contacted the league and the BCMCL may have changed the umpiring schedule. However, most other 1 team clubs have done their assignment without any issues (Eastern, Crescent, King, Centurions, and Indcan).
- Decision to deduct points stands as per decision on 25th Jul 10.


SURREY WARRIORS:
- Surrey Warriors did not request additional umpiring assignments to bring their percentage above 75%
- Surrey Warriors mentioned there was a time lag between umpiring assignments. If Surrey Warriors was concerned about the amount of time between assignments they should have contacted the league and the BCMCL may have changed the umpiring schedule. However, most other 1 team clubs have done their assignment without any issues (Eastern, Crescent, King, Centurions, and Indcan).
- Decision to deduct points stands as per decision on 25th Jul 10


LANKAN KINGS:
- Lankan Kings did not request additional umpiring assignments to bring their percentage above 75% before the points were deducted.
- They did request additional umpiring assignment ONLY after League contacted them. The club is still BELOW 75% as of now.

BPCC fell below the 75% threshold on June 5th and remain below 75% since that date.  Games played since June 5:

COQUITLAM WINDIES:
Coquitlam Windies fell below the 75% threshold on May 14th (4 weeks in the season).  The club was back at 75% on May 30th.  Therefore, both teams - Coquitlam Windies I and II should each lose 4 points for falling below 75% for one week-end. - (( Click for More details ))

LANKAN KINGS:
Lankan Kings below 75% on July 18.  Therefore, they should lose points for the following games played:
